Microblading

Eyebrow Microblading

What is Eyebrow Microblading?

Microblading can help you to achieve those perfect brows. It is an art form that creates semi-permanent results in thickening and shaping your eyebrows. Small amounts of pigment are scratched into the skin, creating a natural-looking well-defined brow. Fine small strokes result in lines that resemble hair and blend with your existing brows for a beautiful finish.

Who is an ideal mircoblading candidate?

Microblading is ideal for someone who has experienced some hair loss and wants to achieve very natural looking eyebrows.  This treatment is suitable for anyone over the age of 18.

Contraindications include; Pregnancy, Breastfeeding, Diabetes type one, Lupus, Hepatitis B/C, Aids, Active Skin Disorders; Cold Sores, Shingles, Impetigo, Psoriasis, Pink Eye, Sun Burn, Severe Acne. Glaucoma, Blood-thinning medicines such as Asprin & Warfarin, Active Skin Cancer, Undergoing radiotherapy or chemotherapy (consult your doctor), Epilepsy, Pacemaker or Major Heart Conditions, History of developing Keloid or Hypertrophic Scars, Active Vitiligo, Severe Rosacea, Blood Disorders: Sickle Cell, Haemophilia, Keloid.

Treatment

Once you have booked, we will call you in for a consultation.  We will need to have a patch test with the pigment sample.
On the day of treatment we will discuss your desired result, and select your pigment colour.
We will start the brow mapping process, apply numbing cream.
The treatment will take around 2.5 hours.

Aftercare will be instructed by myself. Your eyebrows will gradually get darker after a few days.  The hair strokes might begin to scab.  The scabs need to fall of naturally without any picking.   After 2 weeks your eyebrows will fade to the original desired colour.

We recommend a visit approximately 4 to 6 weeks after your initial treatment for touch up strokes to help your microblading last as long as possible.
I will focus on enhancing the original hair strokes and the finalising shape.  You must follow the exact after care as you did for your first treatment.

How painful is eyebrow microblading?

Although the procedure can take upward of 2 hours, most people report only feeling minor pressure or discomfort and less pain than a typical tattoo due to the use of a numbing cream. Of course, this will depend on your own personal tolerance to pain. Some level of pain or discomfort should be expected.

Results

A noticeable difference will be readily apparent immediately following your Microblading procedure. Your final results will be visible after the healing process is fully completed, usually 2-3 weeks. Your brows will look 50% lighter in a very natural human shade.  This treatment can last anywhere from 6 months up to 2 years.

You’ll also need touch-ups every 12 to 18 months, depending on the look you want. Each touch-up session involves some healing time as well.
